Re: new grain mill - recommended crush size. You can go TIGHTER with wheat, the kernels are much SMALLER than barley. I sometimes use 0.025" for grists with a portion wheat, 0.032" for most grists, with a 2- roller MM2 PRO with 2" rollers. But I find anything in the 0.030" range is a good all purpose starting point.
Took less than 2 weeks to come via UPS. Got the gear driven adjustable one. Great mill! Improved my efficiency about 10% from another LHBS. The better LHBS uses this exact same model. I over paid on paypal when my SWMBO ordered and there was a refund check in the box with the mill.
Unlike the Corona Mill its actually meant for grain with a large hopper. It does the same thing as a Monster mill for 1/3 of the price. It lasts. I've had mine for 5 years and it works like new after 100's and 100's of pounds of grain, 25 pounds at a time. It only costs around $90 if you get it on sale.
